Lazy Saturday

Today I attempted to make the most of the last glimpses of the Scottish sunshine and went for a long walk in the countryside where I live, ending up, of course, in a pub- in true British fashion. As for my plans tonight- curry and Xfactor obviously. Living life large.

LDN

Recently I spent 3 days down in the capital, and thought I would share a few snaps on here. I did most of your typical touristy 'Scot in London' type things, like Buckingham palace, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye which were great but I actually enjoyed exploring Camden Town, visiting the Tate and wondering around Kensington and Chelsea more as it felt a little more of the authentic London experience. London definitely has that 'too cool for school' sorta vibe to it, it isn't too try hard. The street style is so unique, I could sit and people watch all afternoon and not get tired of it- people express themselves in the craziest ways, but in London anything goes and it is this mentality of not taking fashion too seriously which I feel puts London on the map as a fashion capital, it may not have the impeccable Italian tailoring of Milan, effortless Parisian chic or New York cool but everyone loves a bit of the London quirk.

New Beginnings

Bonjour

My first post is all about new beginnings (hence the title) and a change of scene. In a few weeks I will be moving to the bright lights of Glasgow, from my small seaside town in Scotland- and when I say 'small' I mean really small- to study History and Politics. It will be a massive culture shock but which I am eagerly looking forward to- every aspect of my life will be completely flipped on its head which is both daunting and exciting. It will be my first time living as an independent individual, as I just finished my final year of high school before the summer in June and currently live at home with my parents, younger brother and the cutest pup in the world (I know that is quite a title to state but he really is- I assure you). My friends are all going off to different corners of the country and following their own wee (can you tell I'm Scottish?) path. So I was inspired to start an online diary type thing- to document my new big adventure. I love fashion, music, art, the list could go on and so this is my little space on the internet where I can ramble on (like I am just now) and even if no-one reads this I can look back on everything I've done and hopefully think 'wow that was pretty cool'.

So yeh, here it goes, my little space on the internet is taking off, maybe stick around for the ride? Wow that was corny *buries head in shame*.
